You see, there is no Paul Harvey, Jr. After a stroke in the late 70's scared Mr. Harvey, his wife and he went and found a homeless man with a good voice and trained him to be Mr. Harvey's successor. He then changed his name to Paul Harvey Jr. Now you know the rest of the story.

PUN
It's as true as a lot of Paul Harvey's broadcasts.

Father Joseph Martin also passed away. Not really a celebrity, unless you were in recovery, in which case he was pretty damned special.

But nobody had those guys on their lists.

What we need is some more people to die. Like the ones on my list. I need to win this thing!

Awwww. Marilyn Chambers has died. I'm thinking from the looks of it, suicide. Behind The Green Door was a classic in my day.

Marilyn Chambers? Damn. I've always liked her. Like Ron Jeremy, she accepted her past and has never apologized or made excuses for it.

Mark "The Bird" Fidrych (46 points) was found dead on his farm pinned under a large truck yesterday. He went 19-9 in his All-Star rookie year for the Detroit Tigers, but then was hampered by injuries and retired after 5 years with a total record of 29-19.

Country music star Vern Gosdin died yesterday. He was 74, which surprised me. I didn't realize he was that old.

I'd love to see Willie in concert. If he's 76, I better get a move on.

Come to think of it, he'd be a good candidate for next years deadpool.

Actually, Willie is all square with the IRS. It took some doing but it is done. An interesting thing about his tax problems, an IRS man said Willies guitar had no intrinsic value since it was all scratched and had a hole in it. The scratches were autographs. A couple of weeks later, the Smithsonian announced that Willie's guitar would go to them on Willies death. Coincidence?

Dom Deluise has died. He was one of the most consistently funny guys in all his films. Probably 'cause he worked so much with the reliably funny Mel Brooks.

Bummer...

It is a bummer. Between he and Burt Reynolds those two could crack me up just by laughing. They both had giggles.

Another rock bassist gone: Donald Evans of Lynyrd Skynard died at the age of 48. He wasn't their original bassist. That was Leon Wilkeson who died back in 2001.

Also, Skynard's keyboardist Billy Powell died back on January 28 at the age of 56.

Wayne Allwine the voice of Mickey Mouse has died. I had the opportunity to see him at a speaking engagement with his wife who does the voice of Minnie Mouse. You could tell they really loved what they were doing.
