Anyone here from DC?
I was wondering how the IMF protests are going.
Unlike in Seattle, where the media actually covered the events unfolding, the media seems to be ignoring the protests in Washington DC. The protests have been going on for about 12 days, and as many as 100,000 people have participated. Intersections have been barricaded, people have been shot, over 600 arrested. The police have been using tear gas with regularity, and the National Guard has been called in for the second time already.
Now, regardless of whether or not you support their motivations or methods, isn't it a bit odd how little coverage the protesters have been getting?
