Hot Brewed (or steeped) beverages

What are your favorite hot brewed or steeped beverages?

Coffee: A nice dark roast, brewed strong, with a tsp of sugar.
*if i'm in a cheesey mood a Mocha Valencia*
Tea: a well steeped cup of Market Spice tea (a black tea made at Pike's Market in Seattle... with porange peel, cloves, and a few other savory spices)

Steepy Deepy Da Deep.. Every night I drink at least one pot of tea, love the stuff. Last weekend I tried some Kenyan coffee. My friend was there a few years back and said it was wonderful stuff when he tried it so we went and picked some up.. yikes.. 15.00 a pound. But it was fun to try something new.

I LOVE coffee. I'm not a real coffee snob (especially when I first get up ). If it even remotely resembles coffee, I throw a little milk and a touch of sugar in it and I'm ready to go.

As far as tea goes, I like peppermint tea and green tea. I like loads of other teas, but those are my favorites.

Ooo I love Mocha Valencia! My daughter turned me on to it when I was visiting her in LA. I haven't found a local place that makes it quite as well tho, so mainly I get Caffe mocha or Iced Mochachino depending on the temperature of the day.

Why give it up?

For me, there's nothing quite like Swiss hot chocolate with those little marshmallows in it. I like Postum too.

As a proper coffee-snob I would just like to say "You're all going to Hell"

The best I've ever had was Blue Mountain coffee-from Jamaica. A friend visited there and brought two pounds back- only cost her about $50.(And trust me, compared to what it costs in the US, that was a bargain)

Peaches? What whacked out religion do you belong to that has a TEA CLAUSE. Lemme guess, you're a Scientologist, and the only way to acheive "clear" is to only drink "Hubbard Brand" tea and milk.

I have a cup of English Breakfast tea every afternoon when I get home from work.
Two sugars, enough milk to make it a nice, creamy beige.
I figure after a whole day of drinking something that just barely resembles coffee, I deserve a good beverage.

I know this doesn't count because it's not actually "brewed," but I have a special fondness for hot chocolate with a swig of Butterscotch Scnapps.

Are you from, or have you ever lived in, South Africa Claudia?

Thats the only place where I've ever seen anyone drink tea that way...
