I'm home! I'm home!

It's cloudy. drizzly, and 38° here, the high is supposed to be around 43° today and I think that hit around midnight, LOL.

Oh, it's good to be home! We saw some beautiful country, had a great time in Bristol (which straddles the Tennessee/Virginia line), and a great visit with my cousin's very talented granddaughter...but it's good to be home. I'm sitting here eating an apple which I bought in Virginia and being ignored by my cats...Fantastic!

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Welcome home, Neighbor! I'm glad you had a good time, but I can see why you'd like to put some roots down for a while. I made sure that the weather was wonderful while you were gone. Some rain, but nothing scary. I'm betting the cat's attitudes will melt by tomorrow and they'll be their old sweet selves.

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It's cloudy and foggy and 36° here this morning. The forecast says we might have light snow this morning and the rest of the day will be cloudy with the high around 42°.

This is their normal attitude, Luvs. Unless I have treats, of course. I have to deliver meals today and, of course, there's a ton of laundry to be done from the trip...how can two suitcases hold so much? I need some Cowboy time, too.

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It's cloudy and drizzly and 39° again this morning, the high is forecast to be around 49° today.

I've suspected for a while that one of my cats, Willie, had a second home. He would disappear for a couple of weeks and then arrive home as fat and sleek as ever. He certainly wasn't "living rough" when he was away. He'd be home for a couple of weeks and then disappear again. Except...last time he was here was about 2 months ago. I had given up on ever seeing him again, figured a coyote or something had gotten him. This morning when I went to the kitchen, there he was. Acting like he had never been gone. And, again, he's as fat and sleek as can be. I think his other owners must have been shutting him in, trying to keep him from roaming.

Got my laundry done and some Cowboy time yesterday. More of that today, LOL, there's never enough.

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Good Morning All,

Another dark rainy morning.

Catz, you could tie a note to Willie and see what happens. It's like putting a message on a balloon and seeing if anyone writes back.

I'm at work early this morning to help out on the computer help desk. I can use the Dogbert approach. "Shut up and reboot"

Catz, a note, yeah, or a collar with a tag, name, and phone number. Or both. I'm very interested to hear what happens.

Perhaps you could train Willie to carry a notepad and pencil with him. He could make notes of his travels, and even let his other attendants send a note home to you.

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It's sunny and 36°, our high today is supposed to be 62°.

If Willie would only tell me when he's planning to go walkabout... I have thought about phoning around and asking about his second family. I only have a few neighbors close enough for him to be visiting.

The traveling never ends this year, it seems. I'm going to Silver Dollar City at Branson with friends on Sunday. Day trip only this time, but we'll have fun!

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Morning Birds!

Gee, Catz, I didn't know you liked doing laundry that much.

Well, it is another beautiful day -- blue skies and cool. My sister is coming this weekend to visit! Our first overnight guests! She is bringing her SO, Fred, and also her three chihuahuas. This ought to be fun with the new kitten and three new dogs to chase around!

We got the gas logs for the fireplace yesterday. We'll try them out this evening. Sure looks nice.

Well, time to get to my own laundry.....

Good Morning, Birds of a Weather!

It's overcast and 52° and there's a 40% chance of rain today. The high is supposed to be around 55°.

Don't know what I'm going to do today. I know there's stuff to be shipped but haven't made any other plans. Luvs, it's a day trip. Shouldn't generate any extra laundry.

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Good Morning All,

The sun finally came out today. It's still cold but it should get up in the 50's this weekend. After this weekend it gets cold and the early forcast has a chance of snow on turkey day.

I may put the Christmas decorations up early to avoid the cold and possible rain or snow next weekend.

How much clothes do you travel with that would generate extra laundry, Catz?

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It's overcast and 50° this morning, the high is forecast to be around 58° with a 20% chance of rain today.

FT, it doesn't really make extra laundry when I travel. I just do laundry as it occurs when I'm home and traveling usually means I have a lot to do when I get home.

I'm not sure what I will do today, gonna just wander around until something happens. I did start decorating for Christmas yesterday, I want that finished before my parents arrive for Thanksgiving. Since I go to their house Christmas this is the only chance they'll have to see my decorations.

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Morning Birds!

My sister and her boyfriend (that sounds weird -- they're engaged but I can't spell fiancee) are coming to visit today! Its the first time my Sis will see Arkansas but the BIL was raised around here. I'm making a pot of Minestrone for later. Catz, I hope you are going to be sticking close to home for the next few days. I would like to introduce my sis and BIL(to be) to the best thing in Lincoln.

Catz, I wasn't really talking about the laundry <<< wink >>>

Oh. I like doing laundry a lot, Luvs. I just don't talk about it much.

A friend of mine from high school passed away last night. Bob wasn't the first of my high school friends to die but he was the first of my 'reconnected' friends to go. He had been in bad health for quite a while (cancer) and he was on my Meals on Wheels route. We visited every week. I'll miss him.

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Good Morning All,

I'll be putting the lights up today. If I don't fall off the roof I'll be back to post later.

We got to meet a couple of former Presidents last night. No, not Bill and George, even though they were in Chicago recently. We saw Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt.
A fine time was had by all.

Okay, I know we all know this already. I just want to go on record, stating that I have no control over which taglines appear on which posts. I wish that one had not appeared on the post above.

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It's cloudy and 46° this morning, it's forecast to be partly sunny today with the high around 61°.

I understand, Rich. No offense taken.

We had a great time at Silver Dollar City yesterday. Saw their version of A Christmas Carol, looked at crafts, I even rode some of the rides. We had 3 children along and I got to play Gramma to a sweet little 2 1/2 year old girl. We didn't get home until after midnight and I don't know why I'm up so early.

FT, they're both getting pretty old now, aren't they?

Ya'll be safe now, hear?

Good Morning All,

A cloudy day that should make it over 50. Then the rain moves in tonight and snow is still in the forecast for Thanksgiving.

I survived putting up the lights. I still have to finish off the stuff that goes in the yard and the big inflatable polar bear. A bunch of the lights didn't survive the last season so it looks like I'll have to get replacements.

Good Morning All,

It should get up to 50 today with rain moving in this afternoon.

It's almost turkey day and my brother still hasn't decided if he's going to join us for dinner out.

I came downstairs this morning to find half of the lower cabinet doors open in the kitchen. I close the up and the next time I go over they're open again. Ashton has learned how to open them up. We're going to have to put child proof locks on them at this rate.

Good Morning, Birds of a Feather!

It"s 32° this morning...first freeze of the year. It's supposed to be sunny today with the high around 53°.

Lots of last minute stuff to do today before Mom arrives. They will be here around 3 or 4 this afternoon, so I have plenty of time. I do have to deliver meals today, too.

Ya'll be safe now and have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, hear?

Good Morning All,

It's a cloudy and wet morning that will get into the upper 40's.

My brother finally decided to join us for Thanksgiving. His son may join us depending on his work schedule. He works at a grocery store so he may be stuck there. Tonight I'll have to stop at the store to pick up some regular groceries.

Good morning!

I'm glad to report that Miz Ruby's surgery went well yesterday. She's recuperating nicely. I took yesterday and today off so I could take care of her.

Tomorrow, we'll all meet at son Joe's house for a whopping big dinner. Probably play on his Wii machine, and drink some wine, and goof around. Ought to be fun.
